Razzmatazz for Kids and Canadian Parents for French are teaming up to bring French enrichment to your school, suitable for both English in Core French and French Immersion students. Razzmatazz for Kids (https://razzmatazz.ns.ca/) has given over a thousand school concerts, and performs nationally and internationally at theatres, special events, and major folk and children’s festivals. They have won an East Coast Music Award, and two Music Nova Scotia Awards.
This is a terrific way to increase your students’ exposure to French language and traditional Acadian music. Thomas and Sandy keep the students on the edge of their seats, encouraging them to sing, making them laugh, and getting them do motions or to clap to ever-changing rhythms. Razzmatazz for Kids effortlessly conducts the audience through moments of high excitement to the pin-dropping silence of anticipation. Some students are invited to join the performers to play rhythm instruments and make the little wooden “limberjacks” dance.
