Canadian Parents for French (CPF) Network Conference is pleased to be hosting a Parent FSL Expo on Saturday, October 20th, 2018.  The Parent FSL Expo will take place at the Westin Nova Scotian in Halifax from 9 am to 3:30 pm, featuring a free concert by Razzmatazz for Kids from 12:30pm to 1pm! Admission to the Parent FSL Expo is free and open to the public.  

Our Parent FSL Expo will open with a keynote from Hughie Batherson, Vice President of Partnerships at Université Sainte-Anne.  Hughie Batherson has been presenting motivational speeches for the past twenty years and has become sought-after for key-note speeches across Canada.  Following the keynote, there will be workshops for parents on: Creating a Language Learning Environment, Inclusion in a French Immersion Classroom – a Parent’s Perspective, and FSL Student Success Stories. There will also be presentations by Explore and YMCA Exchanges, who offer immersive language learning opportunities for youth.

Come meet our Parent FSL Expo exhibitors!  We will have a range of FSL exhibitors offering information on learning French online, French tutoring, and education and program options in French second-language.  The exhibitor area will be open from 9 am to 3 pm.

Razzmatazz for Kids will perform a free concert from 12:30 pm to 1 pm!  Razzmatazz for Kids has performed over a thousand school concerts, nationally and internationally at theatres, special events, and major folk and children’s festivals. To learn more about Razzmatazz for Kids, please visit: razzmatazz.ns.ca.
