Halifax, Nova Scotia (September 29, 2021) – Canadian Parents for French, Nova Scotia held their 44th Annual General Meeting on September 25, 2021. The conference was held virtually due to ongoing Public Health restrictions.

Salma Khattab, Grade 12 student at Citadel High School shines bright at National competition (HALIFAX, Nova Scotia) —Canadian Parents for French, Nova Scotia would like to congratulate all students who took part in the 18th annual Canadian Parents for French National Concours d’art oratoire. CPF is very pleased that Bill C-32 was finally tabled in Parliament. The Bill aims to modernize the Official Languages Act.

Concours d'art oratoire held its provincial awards ceremony on Saturday May 8th, 2021. The ceremony was virtual, through Zoom. Thank you so much to all participants and congratulations to all of the winners. We are looking forward until next year!

CPF welcomes the new federal government budget which includes funding that supports the enhancement of French immersion and French second language programs.

TRI-COUNTY REGIONAL CENTRE FOR EDUCATION TEACHER WINS FRENCH SECOND LANGUAGE EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR AWARD 2019 Halifax, Nova Scotia (October 8, 2019) – Canadian Parents for French, Nova Scotia was delighted to honour Mme Lenora Surette at the annual conference on September 28. Lenora Surette is currently a Grade 4/5 French Immersion teacher at Meadowfields Community School with the Tri-County Regional Center for Education.

Halifax, Nova Scotia (October 30, 2018) –   Canadian Parents for French, Nova Scotia was delighted to honour Jason Belliveau Wood at their 41st Annual General Meeting on October 20. M Belliveau Wood is in his tenth year as a French second language teacher.  He is presently teaching at Bluenose Academy in the South Shore Regional Centre for Education (SSRCE). 

Rebecca Lancaster, Executive Director for Canadian Parents for French, Nova Scotia is one of six Nova Scotians to be the first recipients of the Lieutenant Governor’s Award of Excellence for l’Acadie and francophonie of Nova Scotia.
